Scholarships
Department of Architecture
Each year the Department of Architecture administers over $400,000.00 in scholarships and fellowships awarded to approximately 150 deserving undergraduate and graduate students. All students in good academic standing may compete for scholarships and fellowships. Scholarship applications are reviewed and ranked by a Department of Architecture scholarship committee and program coordinators to determine scholarship recipients.

Recruiting Scholarships
The Department of Architecture awards recruiting scholarships to incoming undergraduate and graduate students. All students who have been accepted into the Environmental Design program and students accepted into graduate programs in the Department of Architecture are considered. No scholarship application is required for the recruiting scholarships.
Department of Architecture Scholarships
Current students must file a Department of Architecture scholarship application to be considered for scholarships and fellowships. Select scholarships require the submission of papers, proposals and portfolios. The application process for the Department of Architecture scholarships and fellowships is online.
Please note there are two deadline dates:
- All Department of Architecture Scholarship applications must be submitted online to the Department of Architecture by 5:00 pm Friday, November 6, 2020.
APPLICATION (Part 1) - All papers, proposals, and portfolios required of select scholarships must be submitted online to the Department of Architecture by 5:00 pm Friday, January 8, 2021. All submissions should be in PDF format (minimum size). Please note you must fill out a scholarship application by the deadline date (5:00pm Friday, November 6, 2020) to submit a paper, proposal, and/or portfolio for consideration.

College of Architecture Scholarships
In addition to the Department of Architecture Scholarships, the College of Architecture provides financial assistance to students.
University Scholarships
Numerous University scholarships are also available through the Texas A&M Financial Aid Office.
Texas A&M University Regents Scholarships are designed to assist first-generation college students in achieving their educational goals. Recipients can receive up to $5,000.00 per year for up to four years - with the ability to add other scholarships.
Texas A&M University also provides numerous National Merit opportunities to students who progress in nationwide competitions sponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) or the College Board.
External Scholarships
Professional organizations provide financial assistance to deserving students pursuing degrees in architectural programs.
Student Employment Opportunities
within the University
Undergraduate students may apply for work study through the TAMU Student Employment Office. Graduate students may apply for a Graduate Teaching Assistantship (GAT) position or a Graduate Non-Teaching Assistantship (GANT) position through the Department of Architecture Office. Graduate students may also wish to contact individual faculty who may be conducting research in their interest area or they may contact the TAMU Student Employment Office to inquire about Graduate Assistant Researcher (GAR) positions.

The Department of Architecture maintains a job board on the fourth floor of Langford Architecture Center, Building A. The board is located outside the Department of Architecture Offices (ARCA 424).
